Our beautiful son, Nathaniel James Clay, was born on March 21, 2002 at 4:06am in Columbus, Ohio.  He was then 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 21¼ inches, but has since been growing so fast!  On this page we have posted several items, though we imagine the photos page will be a favorite.  We plan to update this page periodically with new photos, so check back again in the future.

• The Naming Song
  This is a very special song to us which describes the process of naming a child and realizing the miracle a baby truly is.  Choosing Nathaniel's name was a long process, but we think we found the perfect choice.  Nathaniel means "gift from God" and his middle name was chosen to honor his two Uncle Jameses (Karen's brother Jim Kaboski and Dave's brother Jimmy Clay).

• Audio of Nathaniel's heartbeat (in utero)
  This 35-second audio (mp3) file was recorded at 39 weeks of gestation with a doppler monitor.  In the first part of the recording, you can hear the baby's heartbeat, and then at the end you'll notice a bunch of interference -- just Baby Clay getting more comfortable and moving around!
